What actually breaks inside a ten-person agency
I am asking the people who run small marketing and consulting studios how the work really moves, from a client saying yes to the invoice being paid, and where it jams.
Not a survey. Not a sales call.
There is nothing here to buy.
Why this exists
I build software. I am trying to work out whether there is a tool worth building for studios of five to thirty people, and I would rather ask than guess.
Most software aimed at agencies is built by people who have never run one, sold by people who have never delivered a client project, and priced for companies ten times the size. I want to know what the work actually looks like before I write a line of it.
So I am having conversations. Thirty minutes, no deck, no demo, because there is nothing to demo yet.
Who is asking
I am Shashank Pandey. I build and ship software out of Delhi.
I built Viewlo, a 360° virtual tour platform, from nothing to a live product. I run a small studio of my own, which means I have felt most of what I am asking about: scoping badly, chasing an invoice, rebuilding the same report for the fourth time.
I am technical. That is mostly relevant because it means I can usually tell you something useful about your own site or stack in return, which seems a fair trade for half an hour.
What you get
- The findings, before anyone else Everyone who talks to me gets the full write-up first: what other studios your size are struggling with, what they have tried, and what they quietly gave up on. Most owners have no idea how their peers handle this and no easy way to find out.
- Attribution or anonymity, your call Named and linked, or “a twelve-person studio in Denver”. You choose, and I check with you before anything is published.
- A technical read on whatever you point me at Your site, your stack, something that is annoying you. Free, and not a lead-in to anything.
- No pitch, now or later If I do build something one day, you will hear about it because you asked to, not because you once gave me thirty minutes.
What I am learning
Entries go up once three or more different people have raised the same thing without me prompting them. Verbatim, anonymised unless permission was given.
Nothing here yet. The first entries go up once enough people have said the same thing without me prompting them.
The ask
If you run a studio or agency of roughly five to thirty people, I would like thirty minutes.
I will send you the findings whatever happens, including if we only exchange two messages and never speak.
